Airtel Broadband

The number of broadband internet service providers (ISPs) has surged in the last few years. There are many regional operators who have come into the scene offering a tough competition to the PAN-India operators such as Jio, Airtel and BSNL. Today, we are going to look at one such regional broadband service provider, ‘Connect’ and compare its Rs 500 plan with Airtel’s Rs 500 fiber broadband plan. Airtel provides its fiber broadband services under Airtel Xstream Fiber. Both the companies offer the same priced plan to the users.

Just to be clear, both the companies offer Rs 499 broadband plan, and for the sake of rounding off, I have referred to it as Rs 500.

Airtel Xstream Fiber Rs 499 Broadband Plan

This is the entry-level broadband plan from Bharti Airtel. Airtel Xstream Fiber users get 3.3TB or 3,333GB data with every plan there is, along with a landline voice calling connection with unlimited talktime. The speed offered by this plan is 40 Mbps, and it the plan also comes with Airtel Thanks benefits which include Airtel Xstream Premium, Wynk Music, Shaw Academy, and more. The cost of the plan (Rs 499) is not inclusive of GST.

Users can also get an Xstream Box from the company while purchasing the broadband connection for a mere one time fully refundable amount of Rs 1,500. The channel pack for 1 month would cost a little more. There are no other benefits offered by this plan.

Connect Broadband Rs 499 Plan

Connect is a regional broadband player present in three states of the country, including Jammu & Kashmir, Haryana, and Punjab. The company offers a Rs 499 broadband plan to the users living in Punjab.

This plan also comes with the same speed that is 40 Mbps and offers users 3.3TB or 3,300GB data for the month. After the FUP data is consumed, the internet speed for the users will drop to 5 Mbps. The company will charge GST on the Rs 499 that is the cost of the plan. Users get a free landline connection with Connect broadband plans as well. There are no ISD calling minutes.

The upload and download speed offered with this plan is uniform like that of Airtel Xstream Fiber’s 40 Mbps plan. So if you are wondering which plan you should choose, honestly, you can choose either of them. The benefits are identical, and the cost is identical. If you want an Xstream Box, choose Airtel. Otherwise, both companies are offering equally good plans.
