The North-Eastern regions of India, primarily including Assam, have been adversely affected by the floods at this time of the year. In this time of peril, Vodafone Idea has come forward to help the citizens of the state in coping with the calamity. Extending its support for the people of Assam who are adversely impacted by the flood this season, Vodafone Idea along with its several partners, had organised a flood relief drive in the city. The teams assembled by Vodafone Idea have touched more than 3,000 lives by ensuring easy availability of daily requirements such as food and water to flood victims at the relief camps.
Vodafone Idea Providing Free Data Benefits to Subscribers
Also to facilitate connectivity during such harsh times, the telecom operator is also offering its 10 lakh subscribers with a special voice and data benefits. Vodafone Idea has already credited the free data benefit of 100MB to 5GB and free validity to make calls on 'customer's account. This will help people access critical services like easy digital money transaction, emergency services, social media for communicating and finding their missing relatives/friends etc.

Vodafone Idea, in its release, has said that in such times connectivity to the outside world is one of the most crucial needs and to bring the lives of people back to normal, Vodafone 'Idea's on-ground team of experts is working towards restoring connectivity across 2G, 3G and 4G networks.
Vodafone Idea's Contribution in Relief After Cyclon FANI
To recall, this is not the first time that Vodafone Idea has come ahead to lend its helping hand to the people. The telecom operator was also on the frontlines to extend its services to the people in 'harm's way during the Cyclone FANI which hit the coast of Orissa, Puri and nearby regions to wreak havoc. The cyclone which entered the coast through the tourist city of Puri even claimed a few lives and a lot of damage to property. However, even during this, Vodafone Idea merged its network with Reliance Jio to ensure uninterrupted connectivity for the citizens. For this move, both of these telecom operators were praised by the Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC) and Bhubaneswar Smart City Limited (BSCL). Now as people in Assam seem to be facing a similar calamity, Vodafone Idea has come ahead to extend a hand with its services and additional support in the state.
