Tata Sky Binge Service Priced at Rs 249 Announced, Offers Special Edition Amazon Fire TV Stick for Free

In collaboration with Amazon, popular Direct-to-the-home service provider, Tata Sky, today announced a new service, dubbed as 'Tata Sky Binge.' This new platform from Tata Sky brings digital content from multiple apps on to your TV. Tata Sky Binge is accessible through the Amazon Fire TV Stick – Tata Sky Edition, an exclusive offering that will allow subscribers to stream digital content on Amazon Fire TV Stick. Tata Sky Binge is priced at Rs 250 per month and it will initially offer digital content from Hotstar, Sun NXT, Eros Now, Hungama Play via a single subscription fee. That being said, Tata Sky subscribers will get the Amazon Fire TV Stick – Tata Sky Edition for free, but they'll have to pay an amount of Rs 249 every month to enjoy all the mentioned services for free.




Tata Sky Binge: What is It?

Customers opting for this service will also get access to over 5000 titles from the Tata Sky VOD library along with favourite TV shows of the past seven days. Currently available exclusively on Amazon Fire TV Stick - Tata Sky Edition, Tata Sky Binge will be available to all Tata Sky subscribers at just Rs 249 per month. Customers will have to get the special edition Amazon Fire TV Stick to enjoy the Tata Sky Binge service. Even if you have a Fire TV Stick, you'll have to get this special edition one because it's a customised one from Tata Sky.

Speaking at the launch, Pallavi Puri, Chief Commercial Officer, Tata Sky said, “Tata Sky has always been committed to bringing the best entertainment to the big screen, powered by the finest technology and packaged in the most user-friendly interface. We are now extending the superior ‘Tata Sky experience’ to the world of apps with Tata Sky Binge."

Tata Sky Binge is a unique platform that bridges internet and television content bringing a premium viewing experience of the best internet app videos to large screens. Tata Sky Binge is available only to Tata Sky subscribers which is an expected thing though.

Tata Sky Binge: What it Offers to Customers?

Tata Sky also detailed the benefits which consumers will get after opting the Binge service. New subscribers to Tata Sky Binge will get three months of Amazon Prime access, meaning they can order Prime products from Amazon.in website. Also, there's the Prime Video app which allows users to watch videos for free. Additional Prime benefits include unlimited access to tens of millions of songs ad-free with Prime Music, eBooks with Prime Reading, exciting product launches and early access to lightning deals and more.

The introductory pack will comprise an Amazon Fire TV Stick – Tata Sky Edition & Alexa Voice Remote with the Tata Sky Binge app installed, enabling access to content from multiple apps. As you might be aware of, Amazon Fire TV Stick comes with a quad-core processor and Wi-Fi connectivity to watch content from online platforms.

Customer opting Tata Sky Binge service can enjoy premium content from services like Hotstar, Sun NXT, Eros Now and Hungama Play. Do make a note that there's no Netflix support, so that's a bit of a letdown. If a customer opts out of the Binge service, then Tata Sky will ask the customer to return the Amazon Fire TV Stick.
