Amazon Fire TV Stick 4K With Alexa Voice Integration Launched in India for Rs 5,999

Amazon has brought its latest 4K supported Amazon Fire TV Stick to the Indian market at a price of Rs 5,999. The new Fire TV Stick which comes with 4K support also has Alexa Voice integration, which allows users to quickly search content hands-free. Amazon unveiled the Fire TV Stick 4K in the United States a couple of weeks ago, and now, it has brought the same to the sub-continent. But sadly, it won’t be available for purchase until November 14. Notably, Amazon launched the Alexa Voice Remote at a standalone price of Rs 1,999, but the new 4K model comes bundled with the remote itself. That said, the Alexa Voice Remote can be used with the earlier launched Amazon Fire TV Stick as well.

Amazon Fire TV Stick 4K: Features and Specifications

The newly launched Fire TV Stick is a complete 4K solution for the users as it comes with access to Amazon Prime Video, Hotstar, Netflix, Sony LIV and ZEE 5, among others. It comes with 4K Ultra HD, Dolby Vision and HDR10+ titles support, which will appeal to a lot of content viewers out there.

“The ‘Amazon Fire TV Stick 4K‘ is a complete 4K solution our customers are looking for, all within a compact stick form factor. ‘Alexa Voice Remote’ lets users use their voice to quickly find the content they want,” Marc Whitten, Vice President, Amazon Fire TV said in a statement.

The new Fire TV Stick 4K features a 1.7GHz quad-core processor which is said to offer faster content streaming. Combining Bluetooth, multidirectional infrared technology and powered by Amazon’s proprietary cloud-based service, “Alexa Voice Remote” would allow users to power on their compatible TVs with a single remote, the company added.

Moving onto the all-new Alexa Voice Remote, it helps existing Fire TV customers control all their entertainment by just asking Alexa. As mentioned above, the remote is compatible with all Fire TV devices available in India.

Amazon Fire TV Stick 4K India: Pricing and Availability

Amazon India has priced the Fire TV Stick 4K in India at Rs 5,999 and it comes bundled with the Alexa Voice Remote. The Fire TV Stick 4K and the Alexa Voice Remote would start shipping in India from November 14. The Alexa Voice Remote is available for standalone purchase at Rs 1,999, which will be really helpful to the existing Amazon Fire TV Stick users. It can be pre-booked from Amazon.in starting today.

The same Amazon Fire TV Stick 4K is priced at $50 in the United States, but it’s priced a tad higher in India though.

4K Video Streaming in India is Still in Nascent Stages

Right now, in India, the availability of 4K content is still in nascent stages. However, Amazon has been making its entire Prime Video content available in 4K, giving an option on why users should purchase the Amazon Fire TV Stick 4K in India. Also, 4K TVs in India are available at a low price of Rs 36,999, so the newly launched 4K version of Fire TV Stick could get a good reception from the audience though.

Do I need to buy Amazon Fire TV Stick as I’m having Sony 4K HDR smart TV with Android OS. Only a Wi-Fi connection is not enough?

25mbps for 4k.. 2-4mbps for HD, 4-8 for FHD….4k is 4 times FHD almost.so minimum 25mbps. I mean isp advertising speed.

If it’s fibre, 10 Mbps stable connection is enough as long as you are not using internet on other devices while streaming
