In line with its new content strategy, Bharti Airtel has launched its new Airtel Books app where Airtel subscribers will be able to read any books, magazine, written material etc. on their phones. They will also be able to download these books for free for reading offline and on the go. Airtel has also announced that the material on Airtel Books will be available for both Hindi and English readers so it will cater to a large number of people. Users will be able to browse national and international bestseller books from famous authors and genres including but not limited to romance, thriller, crime, mystery and more.

Airtel’s Stake Buy in Juggernaut in 2017
It is worth noting that back in December 2017, Airtel had acquired a significant stake in the Juggernaut app which was a platform to discover quality and affordable books for the readers. Back then, the move was perceived to be a strategic decision by Airtel as Reliance Jio, Vodafone India and Idea Cellular were ramping up their content strategies to provide more and more free and paid content as part of their offerings. Each one of the telecom operators was shipping an application which catered to the readers and availed them books and magazines across many genres.
Since the Airtel Books application is a new one from Airtel in the market, the telecom operator has even rolled out an offer to attract more and more subscribers. As a new rollout offer, Airtel is providing a free reader’s subscription to all Airtel users who sign up on the Airtel Books app. Under this offer, the users will get the first 5 books for free meaning that they won’t have to pay anything for their first five purchases. The Airtel Books Welcome Offer will only be covering the books which come with the Reader’s Club tag on the app. When any user adds taps on the Book Detail page, the offer will be automatically applied. Therefore, the subscribers won’t require an additional coupon code to avail the benefits. Apart from this, there is also the Airtel Unlimited Ebook subscription offer under which the telco is providing a first month free for all subscribers who take a subscription for six months or 12 months.
