BSNL Launches New Rs 1,312 Prepaid Plan With 365 Days Validity and 5GB Data

Only a few months ago, we saw a slew of long term plans from all the telecom operators. Reliance Jio started the stream of the year-long annual prepaid plans for its subscribers and other telcos followed in the footsteps. In a related development, Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) the state-owned telecom operator has come out with a new year-long plan of Rs 1,312 which carries a validity of 365 days. Back in October, BSNL had launched two new year-long plans of Rs 1,699 and Rs 2,099 which offered the same validity and similar benefits. Compared to the last two annual plans launched by BSNL, the new Rs 1,312 plan remains on the much more affordable side for subscribers in Andhra Prades and Telangana circle.

BSNL Rs 1,312 Annual Prepaid Plan Details

Like we mentioned above, the Rs 1,312 prepaid plan will come with a validity of 365 days, meaning that once the users recharge their number with this plan, they won’t have to worry to recharge for an entire year. Under this plan, BSNL is shipping 24 hours free local and STD calling including roaming. However, there is a catch, like it is the case with most BSNL plans, this plan will allow calling to all circles except the Delhi and Mumbai circle where BSNL does not have operations. The total data benefit in this plan includes 5GB of data for the entire 365 days validity, which means that this will be better suited for subscribers who do not use much data and would only like to stick to calling benefits. Further, subscribers of this new Rs 1,312 annual prepaid plan will be able to enjoy 1000 SMSes for the entire validity period. Additionally, customers will enjoy hello tunes for a whole year with this plan. Another thing to note is that currently this plan has been rolled out in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana circle only.

Other Long-Term Plans by BSNL

There also other annual plans by BSNL which are available at the price of Rs 1,699 and Rs 2,099. The first of the two plans by BSNL offers 2GB data per day to the subscribers along with local, STD and roaming calling even to Mumbai and Delhi circles. The speed after the FUP in this plan throttles down to 80Kbps. The plan also ships 100SMS per day and hello tune for 365 days. Similar to the Rs 1,699 plan, the Rs 2,099 plan offers double the data benefit, i.e. 4GB of data per day with all the other benefits of calling and SMS. This plan also provides free PRBT to subscribers for the entire year.

It’s noteworthy that BSNL introduced these annual validity plans right after Reliance Jio’s rollout of a similar plan. The Mukesh Ambani led telecom operator had launched the Rs 1,699 prepaid plan with data and calling benefits and validity of 365 days.
