Xiaomi Mi TV 4X Pro 55-inch and Mi 4A Pro 43-inch: Features

Just like Xiaomi’s previous television releases, the new Mi TVs also come with the Patchwall UI along with the Android TV platform. Under the hood, the TVs are powered by Armlogic 960X chipset, but there is a difference in RAMs in both the models. While the 4X Pro 55-inch packs 2GB of RAM and 8GB of internal storage, the smaller 4A Pro 43-inch only comes with 1GB of RAM with 8GB of internal storage. Instead of the edge-lit screens, both the television panels are backlit. Also, the 55-inch model of the TV comes with a 10-bit panel for a wider colour gamut, whereas the 43-inch variant sticks to an 8-bit panel.

The speakers on the television are 20W and are punchy enough to provide an excellent audio experience. As for the aesthetics, the Xiaomi Mi TV 4X and 4A sport thin bezels on all four sides, which are although plastic but fashion a metallic finish in Piano Black colour.

Coming to the resolution, the Mi TV 4X Pro 55-inch sports a 4K panel, whereas the 43-inch variant of the Mi TV 4A Pro is an upgrade to the previous Mir TV 4A of the same size and still sticks to the 1080p resolution. Both the screens also support HDR content. It is worth noting that like the other Xiaomi TV models, these two also come with Bluetooth enabled remotes with support for voice inputs which allows the Google Assistant on the TVs. For connectivity, these TVs sport three HDMI ports and three full-size USB A ports. Xiaomi has announced that while the 55-inch 4X Pro will sell along with the existing Xiaomi TV models, the 4A Pro will replace the current 43-inch Mi TV 4A in the markets right now

As for the pricing, Xiaomi has announced that the Mi TV 4X Pro 55-inch will retail for Rs 39,999, while the 4A Pro will retail for Rs 22,999. The company also announced that these TVs would be exclusively available on Flipkart, Mi.com and Mi Home stores starting January 15.

Xiaomi Steps into Home Entertainment With Mi Soundbar

About the design of the Mi Soundbar, Xiaomi has designed this product to be elegant, and it comes in a white colour with a chalk-like finish on the front speaker grille. The tone of the device is in contrast to the TV which fashions black edges. On a single look, the Mi Soundbar dwells well into the Mi ecosystem as a lot of other Xiaomi products have been designed the same way, and the resemblance of the speaker is uncanny in this regard.

As for the audio experience, the Mi Soundbar ensures an impressive audio quality owing to its eight sound drivers which pair with two 20mm dome speakers transmitting high-frequency sounds, two 2-5-inch woofers to reproduce a natural sound and four passive radiators for a deep and enhanced base. The passive radiators do not produce a sound of their own but instead, add thump to the overall audio.

As for the connectivity options, the Mi Soundbar comes with Bluetooth 4.2 which will allow you to connect the speaker to PC, S/PDIF in addition to an Optical and Line-in to connect to your TV. In addition to that, there is also a 3.5mm auxiliary input. Xiaomi claims that the Mi Soundbar will be able to attach with your devices in just under 30 seconds. Also, it is not necessary that users use the speaker with Mi TV, the Mi Soundbar will be compatible with all range of devices.

As for the pricing of this device, Xiaomi has announced that it will retail the device for Rs 4,999 starting January 16, noon on Mi.com and Mi home stores.
