Jio Surprisingly Credits Free 2GB Daily Data With Four Days Validity to Every User

Back in September this year, Reliance Jio turned two and to celebrate the occasion, the company added free 2GB data per day with four days validity to every customer. Back then, Jio said that the offer is valid for two months- September and October. Interestingly, Jio has started crediting free data of 8GB (2GB data per day) to every user for the month of November. In our case, the free data has been credited already and it will expire on November 28, 2018. Jio customers already received free 2GB data per day with four days validity in September and October, but this month's offer comes as a surprise. Having said that, this offer is part of the company's 2nd Anniversary Celebrations and the free data pack is termed as 'Jio Celebrations Pack.' You can head over to the My Plans section inside My Jio app to check the free data validity.

Jio Celebrations Pack: Checking 4G Data Balance

If you have an active tariff plan and you want to check the availability of the Reliance Jio Celebrations Pack in your account, you can do so by heading over to the My Jio app. In the application, you will need to navigate to the My Plans section where you will be able to see the Reliance Jio Celebrations Pack listed along with the benefits. You will also be able to see the expiry date for the plan. Jio has also clarified that the time of receiving the benefits for Celebration could differ from users to users and that it would extend a total of 16GB extra data benefit, 8GB each month to its subscribers. But the total data benefit under the offer has now become 24GB with this month's surprise credit. Although the plan might be activated on your account on different days, you are sure to get the minimum benefit of 8GB in November. Do make a note that the plan is available only for users with an active prepaid/postpaid plan.

Reliance Jio’s 2nd Anniversary

In just two years, Reliance Jio has managed to climb at the top ranks of the Global Telecom Industry. The telco had also started price wars when it entered the market two years back owing to its free offerings and extremely affordable plans. The telco has also launched two very affordable feature phones in India which also support apps like WhatsApp, YouTube and Facebook. Not only that, but the company now also plans to dominate the broadband and DTH sector as well and to do that, Reliance Industries Limited has recently acquired significant stakes in companies like Hathway Cables and DEN Networks.

The company has also made it clear that would ramp up its operations to bring the 5G technology early in the country. The telco has also acquired a US-based telecom company to help bring 5G to India. Jio also took the opportunity in India Mobile World Congress 2018 this year to demonstrate 5G use cases. A Jio vendor said, “The initial 5G services that public is expected to see in India is mobile ultra high-speed broadband when the commercial network will start rolling out. Jio will give a live demo of this enhanced speed on mobile devices.”

Jio Launches Yearly Prepaid Plan of Rs 1,699

On the occasion of Diwali 2018, Jio introduced a prepaid tariff plan of Rs 1,699 which falls under the company's annual prepaid plans portfolio. The plan offers unlimited voice calls to any network within India, 1.5GB daily data and 100 SMSes per day for 365 days. It's possibly the best plan right now from private telcos who're offering 4G services.
