Reliance Jio has released its Q4 FY 2017-18 performance report moments ago. In the report, Jio posted positive net income in the first year of commercial operations. The net profit for the year stood at Rs 723 crore and that too in a competitive market. Alongside the revenue aspect, Jio also revealed the numbers of the company such as subscriber base, data usage by the subscribers and more. During the quarter that ended on March 31, 2018, Jio users consumed a record 506 crore GB of 4G data which resulted in 17.4% QoQ growth in terms of data consumption. The company also revealed that its subscriber base as of March 2018 is 186.6 million, further marking itself as the world’s fastest-growing digital services platform.

During the Q4 FY18, Jio posted a standalone net profit of Rs 510 crore up by 1.2% from Rs 504 crore. The standalone operating revenue stood at Rs 7,128 crore, which is increased by 3.6% to Rs 6,879 crore. The Average Revenue Per User (ARPU) during the quarter stood at Rs 137.1 subscriber per month. The Earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation, and amortization (EBITDA) is up by 2.5% to Rs 2,694 crore from Rs 2,628 crore.
Speaking about Jio’s entire FY 2017-18 highlights, the telco reported a net profit of Rs 723 crore, operating revenue of Rs 20,154 crore, EBITDA of Rs 6,734 crore and EBIT of Rs 3,158 crore.
As mentioned, the total wireless data traffic during the quarter was 506 crore GB and the total voice traffic during the quarter was 37,218 crore minutes. Also, Jio maintained the strong subscriber growth trend with net addition during the quarter of 26.5 million as against 21.5 million in the previous quarter. The overall subscriber base of Jio now stands at 186.6 million as of March 31, 2018.
