OnePlus to Release an Avengers-Themed OnePlus 6

OnePlus has now confirmed through a media note that it will be releasing an Avengers-themed OnePlus 6 smartphone in the coming days. Marvel Studios is all set for the release of Avengers: Infinity War movie later this month and OnePlus is aggressively teasing the OnePlus 6 smartphone. And 2018 will mark as Marvel Studios 10th anniversary and on the occasion of the same, OnePlus and Marvel Studios are planning for a limited edition Avengers-themed OnePlus 6 model. In the media note, OnePlus stated as "marks a step towards strengthening our association with Disney India," hinting at the possible arrival of a themed version in the Indian market.

For the OnePlus 5T, the Chinese company worked with Disney India and released a OnePlus 5T: Star Wars Limited Edition phone for the release of Star Wars: The Last Jedi movie. "OnePlus' association with Marvel Studios is a manifestation of the enduring love and support they have garnered from its respective community over the years with a purpose to go beyond the ordinary and achieve groundbreaking innovations in mobile technology only to create the best user experiences," added OnePlus in the media statement.

A week earlier, OnePlus India has posted a teaser image of the Avengers-themed OnePlus 6, but the teaser was later removed for some unknown reasons. And at the moment, we don't have any information related to the Avengers-themed OnePlus 6.

But we have some information related to the OnePlus 6 though. The OnePlus 6 will come with a 6.2-inch Full HD+ Super AMOLED display with a notch on top. It will be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 chipset which will work in tandem with up to 8GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage.

The device will pack dual rear cameras along with a single front-facing camera. OnePlus has already confirmed the phone will be a water resistant one and it will come with dual-channel UFS 2.1 storage with promised read & write rates of 1.5 Gbps at the same time. The device will house a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner and will retain the 3.5mm headphone jack. It's expected to launch on May 5 in China, but no official invites from the company yet.
