Vodafone India today issued a press statement saying that the telco's network is equipped with required bandwidth and additional capacity to support the massive number of Aircel customers joining the network in Tamil Nadu circle. Vodafone also confirmed that one million Aircel customers already joined Vodafone network in the last few weeks, thanks to the financial crisis going at the former's end. Not only in Tamil Nadu but Aircel customers across the country are also rushing to top telecom operator's retail stores to port out from the network.

Welcoming all Aircel customers to Vodafone SuperNet in the state, Mr S Murali, Business Head, Tamil Nadu Circle, Vodafone India, said, “Vodafone offers customers a choice of value-added plans catering to different usage patterns, with best in class customer service experience. Over the past year, we have significantly ramped up our network in Tamil Nadu, by adding a tower every hour. This has helped us be the preferred telecom network for one million Aircel customers, and the numbers are growing."

The telco also stated that all the Vodafone retail stores in Tamil Nadu circle would be open for all seven days to meet the massive demand.

"Customers can walk into over 600 Vodafone stores and Mini stores across Tamil Nadu which are open all seven days of the week to serve and assist them. Now stay confidently connected at pocket-friendly tariff plans, with Vodafone SuperNet,” added Murali.

Recently, S Murali confirmed that Vodafone would launch VoLTE services in Tamil Nadu circle this year itself and also stated that the telco had built a data-strong network in both Tamil Nadu and Chennai circles.

Aircel customers across the country have to generate the Unique Porting Code (UPC) by sending an SMS to PORT < Current mobile Number> to 1900. After generating the porting code, customers are required to head over to their desired operator store to port out from the ailing telecom operator's network.
