Panasonic, the Japanese multinational company, has announced a new smartphone- its first bezel-less smartphone. Dubbed as Panasonic Eluga C, the smartphone features a 3-side bezel-less design. Panasonic seems to have taken a lot of design cues from Sharp Aquos range of smartphones and some DOOGEE smartphones as well.

As you can see in the images, the Panasonic Eluga C has minimal bezels on three sides, but the chin of the smartphone is quite big. Incidentally, the chin of the Eluga C houses a fingerprint scanner and front-facing camera. In this aspect, Panasonic has gone with Xiaomi's approach of embedding the front-facing camera below the display. The fingerprint sensor is rated to unlock the smartphone in just 0.3 seconds.

The Panasonic Eluga C comes with a 5.5-inch HD display, and the highlight aspect is the screen-to-body ratio of 84.6%. Even though packing a low-resolution screen, the brightness levels of the display are 450 nits.

At the heart of the smartphone, we get a mediocre MediaTek MT6750T chipset, clubbed with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage. Panasonic has unveiled the device in just one variant. Also, there's a microSD card slot for storage expansion up to 256GB.

At the back of the phone, there are two cameras- a 13MP primary shooter and a secondary 5MP shooter. The camera setup implementation is unknown at the moment. What we know is that the rear camera can record videos of 1080p quality at 30fps. Up front, we get an 8MP front-facing camera. All the cameras have an aperture of f/2.2.

Lastly, the device comes backed with a 3000mAh battery with no fast charging support. And the connectivity options in the device include 4G LTE, VoLTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, and micro USB port. This is a dual-SIM smartphone with the first SIM slot supporting 4G network and the second one with 3G network support.

Currently, the smartphone is available only in South Korea at a price of TWD 6000, which dubs to Rs 13,000. And it's still unknown when Panasonic is planning to launch this smartphone in India and other markets.
