Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) is now welcoming the subscribers of Reliance Communications (RCom), Docomo, Telenor to join its network as the three operators will be soon shutting down their business. BSNL has introduced a first recharge plan of Rs. 7, which is valid for all the customers who're looking to port into BSNL network.

The FRC 7 tariff plan from BSNL gives Rs. 60 talktime and 500MB data for 28 days. "Rs 7 FRC plan is open to all port-in-to-BSNL customers who want their earlier numbers to be retained but will have to wait for activation. We are giving them instantly activated SIM on which they can get Rs 60 talktime and 500MB data for merely Rs 7," said BSNL GM (Marketing) Rameshwar Singh recently.

Do make a note that this plan is applicable only for BSNL port-in customers and not for customers who're joining the network. Alongside the FRC 7, the state-run telecom operator also unveiled the Rs. 186 tariff plan for its users in Ranchi. To recall, the Rs. 186 tariff plan was made available for Tamil Nadu users. This plan offers 1GB data and unlimited voice calls to any network for 28 days. The operator also made the Rs. 485 tariff plan available for Ranchi users that gives 1GB data per day, unlimited local and national roaming voice calls for 90 days.

"One is Rs 485 plan which gives all the facilities of Rs 429 completely free even in roaming for 90 days. Another is Rs 186 plan which also gives unlimited calling to any network with 1GB daily 4G data (speed reduces to 80 kbps post 1GB) for 28 days," added Singh.

BSNL also revealed the availability of the Micromax Bharat 1 handset. Earlier today, the feature phone went on for sale on e-commerce platform Snapdeal, and customers in Jharkhand can purchase the device in coming days.

"We are coming up with this plan in association with mobile handset company Micromax which will provide 4G-enabled handset with BSNL SIM at just Rs 2,200 in Jharkhand. Customers will get unlimited calling to any network and up to 5GB data for a month," said Singh to the media in Ranchi.
