The hype around the OnePlus 5's design continues. OnePlus is always known for some innovative designs in the smartphone market. With the launch of OnePlus 3, the company has reached new levels because the device looks incredibly sleek and one of the beautiful handsets of 2016 So, OnePlus has to fill the shoes of the OnePlus 3 and 3T with the OnePlus 5.

Undoubtedly, the design is an aspect where OnePlus has to score big with its upcoming smartphone. But when the Chinese company released a teaser image of the phone, everyone was surprised to see that the phone is a rip-off to the Oppo R11, which was released just a week ago.

A OnePlus design representative said that the renders of the phone look different and the actual design of the phone look and feel of the phone will be different in real life. However, today's leak will probably disappoint every person who's eagerly waiting for the OnePlus 5.

Few photos obtained from one of the reliable Chinese sites show that the design of the OnePlus 5 is exactly similar to the Oppo R11. The images indicate that the OnePlus 5 style case fits the Oppo R11 without any issue. So, minus the alert slider, the OnePlus 5 will have the same design and button placements as the Oppo R11.

Having said that, this is not the first time OnePlus receiving such claims for a comparison with an Oppo device because the OnePlus One had a strong resemblance to the Oppo Find 7a. After all, the parent company of both the vendors is the same- BBK Electronics.

Furthermore, the dual rear camera fits well with the case as well. Now, this is a serious issue to deal with for OnePlus management. The Oppo R11 will not come to India for sure, but having an exact similar design and touting it as 'three years of engineering refinement' is something OnePlus has to look into.

That said, the internals of the OnePlus 5 will be a lot stronger than the Oppo R11. The smartphone will have a Snapdragon 835 SoC and a 5.5-inch display- the Oppo R11 has a 5.5-inch panel, and if the case fits it perfectly, then the OnePlus 5 should have the same screen size. There will be two variants of the phone- 6GB RAM/64GB storage, 8GB RAM/128GB storage. The battery capacity of the phone is still unknown. The device will be released on June 20, and on June 22 in India.
