It was just a few hours ago OnePlus confirmed the design and dual camera setup on the OnePlus 5 by releasing a teaser image of the device. Following the iteration of other OnePlus smartphones, the OnePlus 5 will be exclusive to Amazon India. Along with OnePlus; Amazon India also started teasing the smartphone.

The Amazon landing page source code revealed that the “OnePlus 5 powered by 2.35GHz octa-core Snapdragon 835 processor and 8GB of RAM would release on 22 June 2017 as an exclusive at” This is an official listing, which means that the phone will have 8GB of RAM.

Just after the listing news came out, an Indian publication claimed that the phone would come in two variants- 6GB of RAM/ 64GB of storage, and the other one with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of onboard storage. Furthermore, to confirm the existence of 8GB RAM variant, the OnePlus 5 paid a visit to the GFXBench benchmark test, which also confirmed other specifications of the smartphone. The Indian price of the 6GB RAM variant is expected to be Rs. 32,999, while the 8GB of RAM expected to come with a price of Rs. 37,999.

Furthermore, the device is running Android 7.1.1 Nougat based on Oxygen OS. The OnePlus 5 will be released globally on June 20, and it will land in Indian on June 22. There’s a big debate going on the internet about the design of the OnePlus 5 because the teaser image revealed that the phone would boast same design language as the Oppo R11.

Was planning to buy one plus but yesterday came to know

” Oppo and OnePlus. Both companies, along with Vivo, are owned by China’s BBK Electronics and Oneplus is actually a subsidiary of Oppo Electronics.”

I will never buy anything connected with OPPO
