Earlier today, we have exclusively reported that Vodafone India is planning to offer benefits under a new scheme called "Welcome Back Offer". The same plans are now being provided by Bharti Airtel and Idea Cellular as well. Idea Cellular, which is India’s third largest telecom network has come up with a plan of Rs. 346 that offers 1GB of data per day and unlimited voice calling to any network within India for 28 days.

On the similar grounds as Idea, Bharti Airtel also revamped its plans to counter Reliance Jio. Airtel's already existing Rs. 345 plan now offers 1GB of 4G data per day with free local/STD voice calling every month. On the other hand, the company has also tweaked the Rs. 145 plan and it now offers unlimited Airtel to Airtel calls (local+national) with 2GB of data with a validity period of 28 days.

Expectedly, Airtel’s new plans yet again come with a catch. The Rs. 345 plan offers 1GB of 4G data and that too only for 4G compatible handset users; it won't switch to 3G for your non-4G phone. So, if you own a 4G handset, then this offer from Airtel could be the best choice for you. The offer will be available until March 31 and the users who recharge it before the offer expiry period will be able to enjoy the same offer for the next 11 months (of course, you have to recharge it every month with the plan value). To recap, Vodafone’s Welcome Back Offer also offers 1GB 4G data as 500MB in daytime and 500MB during night; Airtel also offers 4G data in a similar manner on Rs. 345 plan.

It is worth mentioning that these new offers will be limited to Idea and Airtel prepaid customers. For postpaid customers, both the companies are yet to come up with a good plan.
