After adding 55 new channels in August, Jio has now added 25 more channels to its live TV streaming app ‘JioTV‘ which was renamed from ‘JioPlay’ after Jio’s commercial launch. With the latest addition, Jio TV now offers 368 live TV channels including 52 HD channels to Jio users. This time the company has added infotainment channels like History TV and entertainment channels like Movies Now 2 to the popular TV streaming service.

Also, it has added news channels like ABP Asmita, Magicbricks, BBC News and Oriya channels like Suvarna HD and Suvarna Plus HD. Earlier in last month, Jio added Zee Turner channels and popular regional channels like Mahua, Asianet, Raj for Jio user’s.
However, the streaming TV service which offers a catch up feature for last 7 days is currently free for all Jio users till next year but the company may charge a premium for it thereafter. Though JioTV lacks popular movie and English entertainment channels but we’re expecting the company will add those channels too before launching IPTV services through superfast Gigafiber broadband.
Recently Reliance Jio Infocomm’s user base has reportedly surpassed 24 million mark, and is growing swiftly with the addition of up to a million users per day, as the company aims for 100 million customer mark by March 2017. As of now Jio has 4G coverage in 18,000 cities and over 2 lakh villages, covering over 70% of India’s population. It plans to extend the coverage to 90% of the population by next year,
