Idea Cellular has announced the expansion of its hi-speed 4G LTE service to 84 more towns of the Punjab circle. This takes the total deployments in Punjab to 101. Idea Cellular now covers all major towns across all 22 districts in the State, claims the company in its release.
In 22 out these 101 towns, Idea is said to be the sole operator to provide 4G LTE services. Few towns that availed Idea 4G services in Punjab include major towns of Jalandhar, Patiala, Bathinda, Muktsar, Barnala, Rajpura, and Gurdaspur. The major towns of Chandigarh, Firozepur, Hoshiarpur, Kapurthala, Moga, and Pathankot availed the service earlier. Idea said there is a total of 1350 4G sites in the region.
