The enterprise arm of Tata Teleservices, which is claiming to have been gaining a significant market share every year, is hugely cashing in on digital disruption, driven by its M2M, IoT and location-based services this year. The company believes that moving forward, going virtual, going mobile and going social are the three mega trends that will create a world of opportunities for the organisation.
Presently, the IT and ITES segment form the major chunk of its customers at about 30-35% followed by retail, among others. It said that with a plethora of devices there is a convergence of IT and mobile applications across India and businesses across India have also begun to see the value of social media to not only engage with customers and employees but also as a platform to collaborate for developing new ideas and services.
“Earlier, only IT and admin guys used to talk to us , now companies are realising that telecom and IT have a huge play in determining the strategy of an organization and connect to the customers and employees,” says Prateek Pashine, Head - Enterprise Business, Tata Teleservices."
“We will have top of the line products with the companies which are in the new age digital companies and we believe that Tata Teleservices enable its customers to reach their customers better and manage their operations better,” he adds.
He also mentions that cloud deployment is also going to rise as it reduces risk of investment and helps avoiding technological obsolescence. Besides, its machine-to-machine offerings enable business customers to automate and remotely manage a range of activities from meter reading and surveillance, to the delivery of health care and logistics/ vehicle tracking.
Digital impacts enterprise across its value chain, it creates opportunities to engage with its employees, its supply chain and manage operations better.
