To follow a uniform pattern across all its telecom circles, BSNL will implement the Voice STV 135 in per-minute billing pattern like all the other telecom circles. In June, the pack launched on all BSNL circles with per-minute billing except Kerala. Now, BSNL has decided to revise the pack to minute-based billing from the 29th of September 2015.

Currently, BSNL users from Kerala are enjoying 18,000 seconds free local/STD calls to any network in India with a validity of 28 days on STV 135, which will be converted to a minute-based STV. This means that customers subscribing to Voice STV 135 may enjoy 300 minutes free local/STD calls to any network in India for 28 days.

An official BSNL statement about the revision of Voice STV 135 from per-second billing to per-minute billing read as follows;

Voice STV 135 will be converted minute based STV with effect from 29-09-2015 with 300 minutes free to any network (local/STD) with validity of 28 days. Hence, the STV balance on 29-09-2015, if any, will be converted to minutes, and tariff will be in minutes.

Note that the change is only for BSNL Kerala users, and users in other circles are already getting STV 135’s minute-based benefits. You can take a look the details of the things that they have changed in the chart below.
