The two-day conference will be inaugurated by Honourable Chief Minister J. Jayalalithaa, and will focus towards realising Tamil Nadu’s vision of inclusive growth through investment inflows, growth in employment, balanced regional development, and environmentally sustainable long-term development.

It is an effort from the Government of Tamil Nadu to build attractive growth prospects for the state and commit in maintaining its position as one of India’s most preferred investment destinations. As Jio becomes the official connectivity partner of TN-GIM, visiting dignitaries will be able to experience, and reap the benefits of high-speed wireless connectivity on hand-held devices (smartphones and tablets) through the Wi-Fi network that is offered by Reliance Jio.

Commenting on this initiative, a Reliance Jio Spokesperson said, “This year, Global Investor Meet promises to be an extra-ordinary experience for all the visiting stakeholders as it will intend to build strong brand equity of Tamil Nadu globally, and showcase its potential as a leading and preferred investment destination across the world. It will intend to promote the ethos and rich cultural heritage of Tamil Nadu. At the event, Jio will be offering its ‘Jionet’ high speed Wi-Fi internet service as we want visitors to sample the digital ecosystem we are building consisting of high-speed data networks, specially designed apps and rich content to understand how it can enrich their lives.”

The users’ feedback on the network and overall experience will be used to improve the services further as Jio gets ready for its formal launch. Once 4G LTE service commences, Wi-Fi and LTE networks will operate seamlessly with each other.
