The Chinese smartphone OEMs seem to be the busiest lot these days, courtesy of the slew of new launches they make every now and then. Lenovo has just launched the K80 smartphone in China with 4GB of RAM, which will lock horns with the Asus Zenfone 2, which was launched in India yesterday. Till now, the Asus Zenfone 2 was the only smartphone with 4GB RAM, but Lenovo has tied-up with Asus with the K80.
The Lenovo K80 features a 5.5-inch IPS LCD display with 1080p resolution, 64-bit quad-core processor from Intel, and a 4,000 mAh battery. There’s a 13-megapixel primary camera on the rear, complete with autofocus, LED flash, Optical Image Stabilisation, and 1080p video recording. The front-facing camera has a resolution of 5 megapixels, directly competing with the likes of Yu Yureka, Xiaomi Mi 4i, and the Asus Zenfone 2. Its a dual-SIM smartphone with 4G LTE connectivity. Lenovo claims that the K80 can provide a talk-time of up to 33 hours after a full charge. It will come with Android 5.0 Lollipop out-of-the-box, but we’ll have to see the final software quality before commenting on it.
