Asus Zenfone 2 series of smartphones have just been launched in India officially, with a starting price of Rs 12,999. The company launched the Asus Zenfone 2 in a grand keynote event during CES 2015 earlier this year. In India, the device has been launched two models – Zenfone 2 ZE550ML and Zenfone 2 ZE551ML – with three sub-variants of the former model and one of the latter. To make things a bit more confusing, all of these come with the same name – Asus Zenfone 2 and even same model number for different variants.
They are differentiated by their display resolution, processor, and internal storage space. All of these Asus mobiles run Android 5.0 Lollipop with Zen UI on top, have a 3,000 mAh battery and a 13-megapixel camera (with PixelMaster technology for better low-light imaging) at the rear coupled with a 5-megapixel camera up front. They are quite close to each other in terms of specifications and feature rear mounted buttons, just like the LG G3 and recently launched smartphones from LG. Let us take a look at all the variants.
