With this, the operator will be able to set up the gateways at Navi Mumbai, and State Industries Promotion Corporation of Tamil Nadu Limited’s IT Park in Chennai. The company, which is gearing up to launch 4G services by end of this month, had earlier sought approvals to set up gateways in Mumbai and Chennai.

The final approval has come following clearances from the inter-ministerial group on Internet Monitoring System. The Centre for Development of Telematics (C-DoT), the telecommunications technology development centre, also approved RCOM’s gateway set up.
