Digicable Networks had challenged the Ministry of I&B on 13 September and had got an ad interim stay against the order till 6 october. “The hearing has been postponed for the next two to three days”, said Kohli who is promoting Digicable. Bombay High Court had granted some temporary relief for the Multi-System Operator (MSO) after it extended the order cancelling its permanent registration till 5 November.

Kolkata High court has a similar case at its disposal, the one of the JV- Digicable Comm regarding its license cancellation. Even this case has been postponed to 28 November. The interesting fact is that the Kolkata based MSO has already gotten the stay order twice on the permanent cancellation. The court has issued the stay order based on the fact that Home ministry had given clearance to the DAS licence in 2013 and the same has been denied in September 2014.

It was in this July that information and broadcasting ministry had cancelled the licenses of Digicable Comm and in September the same ban was extended for Digicable Network citing that home ministry had denied security clearance
