Xiaomi will be launching its Redmi Note 5 Pro successor aka the Redmi Note 6 Pro in India tomorrow. The phone has already been made official in other markets including Thailand and Indonesia. Considering the Redmi Note 5 Pro is still one of the best selling Xiaomi phones, the expectations from the Note 6 Pro are pretty high. Overall, the Redmi Note 6 Pro isn’t really a major upgrade from its predecessor.
The Redmi Note 6 Pro comes packed with four cameras in total. Two of the cameras are located on the back panel, while the other two sit on the notch on the front. It is also worth noting that the Note 6 Pro is the first Redmi Note phone to include a notched display. The notch seems to be pretty wide and includes dual selfie cameras, sensors and earpiece. So, if you’re a photography enthusiast or a selfie lover, Redmi Note 6 Pro is worth the wait. Apart from the camera, the Redmi Note 6 Pro also comes with a bigger display and better battery life, however, the internals of the phone remains the same as found in the Redmi Note 5 Pro. Here are some of the reasons why Redmi Note 6 Pro is worth the wait.
Four Cameras
As far as the specifications are concerned, the Redmi Note 6 Pro comes with a primary sensor of 12MP and a 5MP secondary sensor. The second camera of the phone is dedicated for capturing portrait shots. Well, even though the camera setup of the Redmi Note 6 Pro is the same as the Redmi Note 5 Pro, what’s different in the new phone is the aperture. The Note 6 Pro comes with a wider aperture for the phone to capture more light and help users click clearer and brighter pictures in low light or tricky lightening situations. On the front, the Redmi Note 6 Pro packs a 20MP primary sensor while the secondary camera includes a 2MP sensor for portrait selfies.
Bigger Display
The Redmi Note 6 Pro sports a 6.26-inch Full HD+ IPS LCD display paired with an aspect ratio of 19:9. Compared to the Redmi Note 5 Pro, the display of the Redmi Note 6 Pro is bigger but the form factor remains the same. This means that the users will love to play graphics-heavy games and watch videos on the Note 6 Pro.
MIUI 10
The good bit is, the Redmi Note 6 Pro is the first Xiaomi phone to come with MIUI 10-based on Android Oreo out-of-the-box. To recall, the Redmi Note 5 Pro was launched with Android 7.1.1 Nougat. The upcoming Redmi phone comes with a range of MIUI 10 features like navigation gestures, new recent menu tabs, PiP mode, Android P-like volume slider and notification shade, AI features, and more. As of now, there’s no word if the phone will be upgraded to the next Android versions like Android P and Android Q.
Battery
The Redmi Note 5 Pro offers a great battery life but looks like with the Redmi Note 6 Pro Xiaomi has improved the battery performance. Much like the Redmi Note 5 Pro, the Redmi Note 6 Pro is backed by a 4000mAh battery and comes with Qualcomm’s Quick Charge 3.0 support.

Reasons why Redmi note 6 pro is not the phone you need…
1. Realme 2 pro already beats it in almost every department,
2. Moto One Power has the same chipset, bigger battery, stock android, and 2CA or 3CA(not exactly sure, but I need hands on with one to find out)
Camera is better on Redmi Note 5 Pro compared to Realme 2 Pro. Redmi Note 5 Pro has unbeatable rom support. Realme 2 Pro don’t even know whether it will get Android P or not.
Both Moto One Power and Moto G5s /G5 Plus has 2CA. After Android P, it is smoother than before and Battery performance is unbeatable. I hope Zenfone Max Pro M1 does the same with Android P update. I hope Asus provides better battery on paper with Max Pro M2.
Wht abt rn5pro does it hv CA ? Or rn6pro hv it or any other cheap chinese brand ?
Yup MiA2 has it…
Even if it doesn’t have its best selling phone of the year. Maybe that crown might be taken by Honor 8X. Mi A2 could have taken that crown if they would have put more battery.
How to check weather a phone has 2CA or 3CA or whatever?
Mostly it’s shown on gsmarena. Other sites like devicespecification(dot) com show it too, but devicespecification doesn’t have info on the cA values of the Moto one Power.
it won’t be upgrade; additional variant …just to get additional 2MP for hardware based portrait shots. seriously!! They can provide better design if not new or powerful SOC upgrade).
certainly i agree; design is really not sexy / something new. better design should come out. with in display finger print scanner
