Remember when you used find it difficult to find a suitable charger for your mobile phone? Back in those days, every other mobile phone brand used to have a proprietary charging port. You could not charge a Nokia device with a Samsung charger, but now almost every smartphone brand uses a microUSB port for charging (except Apple, which uses lightning port). Chances are that if you have bought a smartphone in the past 3-4 years, you must already be having a microUSB compatible wall charger lying around in your home or office.

Bad move! Even the lowest Xiaomi phone needs 2 Amps charger. And your previous phone may likely have a charger of much lower capacity. Further, of the few old phones I’ve sold, the buyer always insisted on having the charger… else get a reduction in buying price. So I have no extra charger lying around! If Xiaomi does away with the charger, we have to factor the price of a new charger into the purchase decision. But there is still the added hassle of getting a new genuine charger of desired rating.

Xiaomi doesn’t provide earphones also, I purchased it from market.
I think if they agree to pass the economic profit to the customers then I dont care about what they provide and what they don’t……
Charging is not such a big issue now a days..
