Xiaomi is having a great time in the Indian market. During the festive season, Xiaomi has shipped more than four million smartphones in the country. During the festive season, Xiaomi offered discounts on both Amazon and Flipkart, and the company also revealed that it is the top smartphone brand during Flipkart's Big Billion Days and Amazon's Great Indian Sale. Furthermore, Xiaomi also conducted the sale on its own portal- Mi.com namely, 'Diwali with Mi,' and the company sold more than one million smartphones from Mi.com alone during the period.

It comes as no wonder because Xiaomi has been achieving greater heights in the country. Recently, Counterpoint Research firm revealed that Xiaomi is the second largest smartphone brand in India with a market share of 22.3%, marginally behind Samsung which secured top position with 22.8%.

During the sale on all platforms, Xiaomi offered the Redmi Note 4 64GB variant at Rs. 10,999, down from its original price of Rs. 12,999. Counterpoint also revealed that the Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 is the best selling smartphone in India for three successive quarters.

Also, the Xiaomi Redmi 4 was available at Rs. 1,500 discount, and the Xiaomi Mi A1 was made available in big quantities as well. Possibly, both the Redmi Note 4 and Redmi 4 could have dominated the entire sale.

Xiaomi recently launched its flagship product- the Mi Mix 2 (first impressions) in the Indian market at Rs. 35,999. The Mix 2 is Xiaomi's premium smartphone in the Indian market till date. So far, Xiaomi has conducted two sales for the Mi Mix 2- one preview sale on October 17 and another flash sale on October 24. And guess what, in both the sales, the Mi Mix 2 went out of stock in quick time, which gives us a hint that Indians are ready to purchase Xiaomi flagship phones as well.
