The report also highlights that WhatsApp will allow its users to convert a video less than seven seconds to Boomerang. In Instagram, there’s a separate section where you can record Boomerangs of your own, but it seems like WhatsApp users will have to use the videos section itself to create Boomerangs.

WhatsApp to Soon Get Boomerang Feature: How it Works?

The report also has a video which clearly shows how the Boomerang feature on WhatsApp will work when it goes official. To post a Boomerang, a user will have to head over to the Status section> click the capture button and shoot a video for less than seven seconds. If the video is less than seven seconds, WhatsApp will display the Boomerang option on the top right. Right now, on the top right, we have two options- the standard video and the GIF option. Once the Boomerang feature rolls out, there will be another option to convert the less than seven-second video to a Boomerang. Also, the report highlights that the Boomerang feature will be available inside personal and group chats as well.
