Sony Launches Four New Wireless Headphones in India With Active Noise Cancellation Feature; Prices Start at Rs 14,990

Sony India, earlier today announced four new noise-cancellation wireless headphones in the country. The four models are WH-1000XM2, WI-1000X, and WF-1000X. For the unaware, Sony Electronics launched these four wireless headphones at the IFA 2017 event in Berlin in September.

Sony WH-1000XM2

The WH-1000XM2 and WH-H900N headphones are already available in the Indian market for a price of Rs 29,990 and Rs 18,990 respectively. The WI-1000X and WF-1000X will be up for sale in December 2017 and are priced at Rs 14,900 and Rs 21,900 in the country. All the four headphones will be available in a black colour, while the premium WH-1000MX2 one will be available in the gold accent too.

Sony WH-1000XM2, WI-1000X, and WF-1000X Headphones

The Sony WF-1000X headphones are in-ear and truly wireless style earphones, whereas the WI-1000X headphones are in-ear, behind the neck style ones. These both headphones, alongside WH-1000XM2 feature world’s first activity recognition ‘Adaptive Sound Control’ feature. The Adaptive Sound Control feature offers noise cancelling and ambient sound preferences to suit different environments.

Sony WF-1000X

Talking about the Sony WH-1000XM2, these are over-the-ear wireless headphones which also has a 3.5mm headphone jack. Sony says the WH-1000XM2 offers 40 hours of battery life with wired connectivity and 30 hours with wireless connectivity. As said earlier, the WI-1000X are also wireless headphones from Sony. The Sony WI-1000X said to offer 9 hours of battery life. Also, the WH-1000XM2 comes with Quick Charge support, and the company says it will gain 70 minutes of battery life within just 10 minutes of charge.
