Redmi Note 8 Pro launch is just a couple of days away, and now, the complete spec-sheet of the smartphone has been leaked online on Chinese microblogging portal Weibo. Going by the new leak, the Note 8 Pro will offer a 6.53-inch Full HD+ display, and it will be an LCD panel, similar to its predecessor Redmi Note 7 Pro. Furthermore, the leak also reveals complete quad-camera setup details of the Note 8 Pro. In addition, another rumour pointed out that Redmi might launch a Snapdragon 712 SoC variant of the Note 8 Pro alongside the confirmed MediaTek Helio G90T model. The phone will come in different storage configurations ranging up to 6GB of RAM and 128GB of onboard storage. And it will pack a 4500mAh battery with support for 18W fast charging.




Redmi Note 8 Pro: Complete Specifications Leaked Ahead of Launch

Let's start with the display specifications. The Xiaomi Redmi Note 8 Pro may feature a 6.53-inch IPS LCD display with a resolution of 2340 x 1080 pixels and 19:9 aspect ratio. Yes, similar to the Note 7 Pro, the upcoming Note 8 Pro will also feature a Dot Notch display or teardrop notch display. The screen may come with Corning Gorilla Glass 6 protection. Under the hood, the Note 8 Pro will have MediaTek Helio G90T chipset, paired with 4GB/6GB of RAM and 64GB/128GB of internal storage. Other rumours also point out a Snapdragon 712 SoC variant of the Note 8 Pro is also in the works, but nothing is confirmed officially for now. The smaller Redmi Note 8 is already confirmed to come with Qualcomm Snapdragon 665 SoC.

Dimensions of the Note 8 Pro are: 161.3mm x 76.4mm x 8.8mm and the device weighs 199 grams. The handset will run Android 9 Pie-based MIUI 10 out of the box and not the MIUI 11. It will have a beefy 4500mAh battery with 18W fast charging support. The leaked spec-sheet also confirms the presence of 3.5mm headphone jack, USB Type-C port and Smart PA Amp for the enhanced audio experience.

Moving onto the cameras, the Note 8 Pro will have the 64MP Samsung GW1 primary sensor with f/1.7 aperture. There will be three more sensors- an 8MP ultra-wide-angle lens, 2MP depth sensor and 2MP macro lens for capturing close up shots. The setup is pretty much similar to the Realme 5 and Realme 5 Pro smartphones. The Note 8 Pro will offer a 20MP selfie camera.

Xiaomi Redmi Note 8 Also Launching on August 29

As mentioned, the Redmi Note 8 is coming out on August 29 in China. The standard Redmi Note 8 will not feature a 64MP quad-camera setup on the back, but it will offer a 48MP quad-camera setup. Besides the primary sensor change, the other three sensors- 8MP ultra-wide-angle lens, 2MP depth sensor and 2MP macro lens will pretty much be identical to each other.

As for the hardware, the Note 8 will be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 665 SoC with up to 4GB of RAM. It may have a similar display of 6.53-inches as the Note 8 Pro along with a 4500mAh battery. Complete details of Redmi Note 8 and Note 8 Pro will be unveiled on August 29 by Xiaomi in China.
