Display

While the Redmi 5A comes with a dated display configuration by sporting a 5-inch 16:9 aspect ratio screen, the Realme C1 comes with a 6.2-inch IPS LCD panel which bears an aspect ratio of 19:9 along with a notch. Owing to this configuration, the Realme C1 boasts of a much better display and a better screen to body ratio in a small overall form factor. The phone also comes with minimal bezels making it a really good looking device.

Hardware

The Realme C1 packs the Snapdragon 450 SoC under the hood as compared to the Snapdragon 425 present in the Redmi 5A. Also, the chipset on the Realme device is an octa-core one whereas the one on the Redmi 5A comes only with four cores. Since the Snapdragon 450 clocks better frequency, the single core performance of the Realme C1 also surpasses that of the Redmi 5A.

Camera

The significant difference between the two devices is in the rear camera department. For imaging, the Realme C1 debuts with a 13MP + 2MP dual rear setup with the 13MP being a primary shooter and the 2MP being a depth sensor. Given this dual rear setup, the phone is able to shoot photos with Bokeh or portrait effect. On the other hand, the Redmi 5A only comes with a single 13MP shooter. On the front side, both the phones sport a single 5MP sensor.

Battery

Although the Realme C1 comes with a heavily discounted price tag, the battery on this device is nothing short of impressive. The Realme C1 comes with a 4230mAh unit as opposed to the 3000mAh one on the Redmi 5A giving it a massive edge of the Xiaomi phone. With this huge battery, users will be able to experience a full day of working without having the need to plug in their device in the middle of the day. Also, when paired with a high ampere charger, the Realme C1 will be able to charge faster.

Pricing

The Realme C1 bears a price tag of Rs 6,999 which is although Rs 1,000 more than the price of Xiaomi Redmi 5A but is still justifiable. Even with a higher price tag as its competitor, the Realme C1 ships immense value for money in the segment. Whether it is about camera, performance, display or design, the Realme C1 checks all the boxes as one of the most impressive budget phones out there in the market. So if you are pondering whether to choose between the Redmi 5A or Realme C1, we would term the Realme C1 as the winner.
