Oppo F3 Plus Gets Online Listed Ahead of its Official Launch Tomorrow

Oppo seems to be not holding back anymore with the Oppo F3 Plus. The Chinese company was teasing the smartphone from the past couple of weeks or so and will be announcing the phone tomorrow. However, before the official launch, the phone gets listed on the company site revealing all the specifications, but the listing was removed immediately.

Oppo F3 Plus

As teased, the Oppo F3 Plus comes with a dual front-facing camera, same as the Vivo V5 Plus launched recently. The Oppo F3 Plus features two sensors on the front- a 16MP standard sensor to capture bright shots and another 8MP sensor for capturing 120° shots wide-angle shots. The F3 Plus also has a 16MP sensor at the rear side of the phone, which is the same camera used in Oppo R9s with Sony IMX398 sensor and a larger f/1.7 aperture. So, expect the same camera performance as the Oppo R9s.

As the name itself suggests, the F3 Plus comes with a 6-inch Full HD screen with a resolution of 1080×1920 pixels. The display is protected by the Corning Gorilla Glass 5 technology. The design of the smartphone resembles a lot with the Oppo R9s, but the new entrant has a bigger screen. Under-the-hood, there is a Qualcomm Snapdragon 653 chipset, which is an octa-core chip seen on smartphones such as Samsung Galaxy C9 Pro.

Oppo has added 4GB of RAM and 64GB of native storage in the phone, which can be expandable with a microSD card. Oppo teased the VOOC charging technology in the phone, and a 4000mAh battery backs the F3 Plus. Do make a note that OnePlus’s Dash Charge technology is built on Oppo’s VOOC tech.

The Oppo F3 Plus boots Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow based Color OS 3.0. The major issue with Oppo is they won’t provide any software updates. To recall, the Oppo F1s was launched with Android 5.1 Lollipop and still did not receive any update for Android Marshmallow nor Nougat.

Having said that, the phone will be launching in India as well, but we don’t know the exact launch date and the price of the phone. We will keep you updated as always. Keep checking this space for more info related to Oppo F3 Plus.

Oppo has been a bit overpriced in my opinion

TBH they’ve always been overpriced. Oppo phones are not as costly as Vivo, Gionee. Gionee uses inferior hardware and triples the price. Vivo uses good hardware, but still prices their phones a lot. ZTE is same for their low end phones though, but Axon 7 is the best for the price. Way less than Op3, and comes with a card slot.

VIVO v3 Max is better than this phone according to me

One plus 3*…..25K would have been sweet spot according to me… One plus 3T of 128GB would have been 30000 ideal spot

Better display as well!!!!! Sadly didn’t released in India otherwise would have been priced much much lower than what it is now!!!!!

F1S was great to have

Nice phone with cool selfie …

Looks great and at the time handling feels quality. I was not so behind oops but when I took it for my bro it is really good.

Expectations higher from this cost must be under 20k

What a joke… At may end most of phones will get nougat update.. And u r thinking providing marshmallow update is a big thing..

March 23, 2017 1:45 pm 1:45 PM

I am not saying it’s a big thing. I’m saying that these Chinese brands lag the Android release by 1 version because their skins are based on heavily modified versions of android. Things like dual screen existed already in these UIs before it came to Android.

This extensive modification is the reason they don’t like to upgrade the phones. Nowadays they started upgrading because there is pressure from Google, but they’ll likely always remain one version behind.

Oppo is a subsidiary of one plus. Oppo is a great brand. I guess you haven’t heard about software updates.

Agree on sandeep ,

We (80%) cellphone users don’t bother much about software updates we require good camera , better network and some social

Nothing higher than this .. if Google launch new software every fortnight i can’t change my cellphone every now and then .. any phone gets hardly 2 or 3 updates which I feel are not so important as Android is very stable now a days..

I am not talking about geeks like this but common 80% like me

March 22, 2017 11:26 pm 11:26 PM

Ohh really.. I have used lumia 1520 in past.. So dnt teach me about software updates.. U paid oppo representative

Unless you have a flagship/bestseller phone, it’s hard to get updates. I know people paid top dollar for HTC One M9+ and still are not getting timely updates. Midrange phones are usually not lucky enough to get updated on regular basis. I am happy they get any update at all.

Only LG, Samsung, Sony are timely in updating phones IMO (Motorola too, but now it’s Lenovo, so the quality is down).
