Lat year same plan was introduced by MTNL for his valued subscribers now again same plan on Independence day. Need something more as per the public demand. only talktime will never attract to us. Need to think more innovative.
Nice efforts to grab more revenue from MTNL management who yet not appointed Full time CMD, I think this post is operated by Private ops may Be Mittal or Birla or Ambani.

To Kavin :

What selvam says is right. Because I was travelling to Ooty from Mettupalaiyam by HILL TRAIN (N M R). BSNL got 3 to 5 bars (out of 5) even inside DENSE forests of Nilgiris. I really do not know how. May be using GSM via satellite.

Building a house in the mountaineous forest area itself is not a easy job (getting clearance from forest authority, corporation etc). Then think of mobile towers. BSNL – really great (in terms of coverage).

@kavin sorry what u r telling is wrong…they might hav got the spectrum as others who also get cheap but bsnl is having towers in nook and corner of the nation.. not like pvt who concentrate only in urban where they are gtg more revenue… with abnormal signal strength with min towers
