Rollout Plan and Future Expansion
Meta AI, which currently has almost 500 million monthly active users, will be available in the UK, Brazil, and additional countries in Latin America and Asia starting Wednesday, according to the social media company.
The chatbot will also support languages including Arabic, Indonesian, Thai, and Vietnamese, Meta said.
“Excited to expand access to Meta AI with our rollout in 21 new countries globally, starting today with the UK and Brazil, as well as new countries in Latin America and Asia,” Ahmad AI-Dahle, VP of GenAI at Meta, shared on LinkedIn.
Access Across Countries
The rollout begins with Brazil, Bolivia, Guatemala, Paraguay, the Philippines, and the United Kingdom. This expansion will include support for Tagalog, Meta said.
The next wave of countries—Algeria, Egypt, Indonesia, Iraq, Jordan, Libya, Malaysia, Morocco, Saudi Arabia, Sudan, Thailand, Tunisia, the United Arab Emirates, Vietnam, and Yemen—will soon have access to Meta AI, with added language support for Arabic, Indonesian, Thai, and Vietnamese.
The AI assistant is available on Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp, Messenger apps, and on the Meta.ai website.
“Bringing Meta AI to more of our users around the world is one of our top priorities, and I’m excited for our users in these new markets,” Ahmad said.
