Reliance Jio has been adding new features to its content apps every now and then. In its latest update, JioTV for Android has received Dark Mode functionality. This is a significant feature already present on the JioCinema app and it has now been added to JioTV app with the 5.8.0 update. In JioCinema, the feature comes enabled by default, however, that’s not the case with JioTV as a user will have to enable it by heading over to app settings manually. With Android Q, Google is officially rolling out native Dark Mode and the search giant even admitted that dark mode saves battery life on smartphones. Even iOS 13 has a dedicated dark mode, something every iPhone user asked for years now.

JioTV App Gets Dark Mode With Android 5.8.0 Update
JioTV 5.8.0 update is already available for download via Google Play Store. Alternatively, users can sideload the APK file by downloading it from the web. After downloading the latest version of JioTV, it presents you the option of enabling Dark Mode with a single tap. In case you missed that option, you can head over to the JioTV app settings to enable dark mode manually. Dark Mode on JioTV is pretty much identical to the one present on JioCinema application.
Earlier this year, Reliance Jio added Picture-in-Picture feature to JioTV app, allowing users to watch content even after closing the app. Picture-in-Picture was one of the most demanded features after Dark Mode, so it’s good to see the company adding them back to back.
