The Mobile Network Portability service was initially started back in the year 2010 in Haryana and spread across every state of India at the beginning of 2011. However, at that point of time, MNP was available only as Intra-service portability. It was in 2015; we got to see the service being enabled as Inter-service portability, which means that subscribers can retain their mobile number when relocating from one area of the country to another.

This one month is crucial for Jio in long term….. I hope by 2020 Airtel merges with Idea Vodafone merged entity and give good competition to Jio…. Right now there is no competition to Jio in any way….. Lots of people have bought VoLTE devices and much more going to launch this year….. If feature phone launched Airtel Idea and Vodafone will be in serious trouble… I hope Jio coverage improves in rural area and then Jio takes on Airtel via feature phone

DUANE, are you ok? Gone completely insane? The cases of porting FROM jio are fringe at best because most of those are new, secondary SIMs. Use on 2G and 3G networks after enjoying HD Voice calls? You sure you’re all right? Maybe you should visit the doctor. Just saying, for your good health.
