India has now gone past the 100 crore broadband subscribers mark. This milestone took place in November 2025. This data was published by the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI). The broadband subscriber mark of 100 crore actually means a billion connections. In the last 10 years, the broadband subscriber base in India has increased by more than six times. At the end of November 2015, India had around 131.49 million or 13.15 crore broadband subscribers. This number has gone up to 1 billion (100.37 crore) at the end of November 2025.

This has largely happened since the arrival of Reliance Jio in the Indian market.
