After an eventful couple of weeks or so where we saw several confirmations about the Nokia’s return to the smartphone world, courtesy to HMD Global, today a new leak popped online showcasing an unknown Nokia smartphone that is expected to be unveiled at the MWC 2017.

Earlier this week, we have seen some details about the Nokia’s flagship phones- the Nokia P and Nokia Z2 Plus, and we are expecting that today’s leaked image will not be of the flagship phones. Instead, the image might be of the much-rumored Nokia D1C mid-range smartphone.

Also, sources suggest that the leaked image might be of the earlier rumored mid-range smartphone, the Nokia D1C. The device in the picture is sporting a 5.2-inch display with a Nokia branding on the top right, and a front-facing camera module is present on the left to the Nokia logo.

The interesting thing revealed in the latest leak is that Nokia is going for the capacitive buttons and not the on-screen navigation keys. However, we are not sure about this smartphone to be touted as Nokia D1C because an earlier benchmark site suggested that Nokia D1C will be a 13-inch tablet.

But, not just that. There were a couple of other rumors as well regarding the Nokia D1C. The upcoming Android Nougat laden phone will be powered by the octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 SoC, coupled with 3GB of RAM. There might be two display variants in the phone- one with 5.2-inch and the other one with 5.5-inch display. Regarding optics, the Nokia D1C is expected to carry a 13MP sensor on the rear along with an 8MP shooter on the front.

However, these are just rumors, and the company officially haven’t confirmed anything as of now. As far as the Nokia Z2 Plus flagship phone is considered, it might boast of a 5.2-inch Quad HD display along with Qualcomm MSM8996 chip (also called as Snapdragon 820) and 4GB of RAM. Regarding the camera, the Nokia Z2 Plus might come with a 23MP Carl Zeiss certified camera.

Nokia is expected to unveil these smartphones at the MWC 2017, which is almost two months away from now. So, the rumors regarding the Nokia phones will roll out much faster in coming days.
