Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL), a state-run telecom operator in India, has a new plan on offer for the Indian customers. This plan comes with 100GB of data for the users. It costs a mere Rs 251. It is a prepaid offering, and yes, BSNL has had many variants of the Rs 251 plan in the past. The state-run telco has now brought back the Rs 251 plan, and now it comes with 100GB of data. But there's more.




The Rs 251 prepaid plan also brings access to the BiTV for the users. This is an OTT (over-the-top) platform from the company which allows users to get entertained. Let's take a look at what this plan is all about.

This plan comes with service validity, and that is the best thing. It offers plenty of 4G data. With all the investments that BSNL is making on the 4G networks, it makes sense also for the telco to come with such attractive offers for the customers.

To add new users, and verify them via KYC (Know Your Customer) online, BSNL has also now built its own platform rather than relying on another company. The state-run telco has already invested in about 1 lakh 4G sites, and now the work to expand that should continue. The government is focusing on efforts to ensure that BSNL can make a comeback, with the oversight coming directly from Jyotiraditya Scindia, the union telecom minister of the country.

BSNL's 5G network launch is expected to take place in 2026, as it will intially expected in late 2025 in Mumbai and Delhi.
