BlackBerry, which launched three new smartphones in India during the last three months has today confirmed that the BlackBerry Evolve smartphone would be available for purchase exclusively on Amazon India from October 10. Home-grown company Optiemus Infracom, which manufactures and distributes BlackBerry-branded handsets confirmed this news via a press release. To recall, Optiemus launched the BlackBerry Evolve back in August this year at a price of Rs 24,990. Alongside the BlackBerry Evolve, the company also unveiled the Evolve X smartphone which is a premium smartphone. The BlackBerry Evolve comes powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 450 SoC.

BlackBerry Evolve Availability Delayed by More Than a Month
When BlackBerry launched both the phones back in August this year, it started the Evolve will be available by the end of August, while the Evolve X will be available for purchase by mid-September. However, BlackBerry has now announced the availability of Evolve, but it didn’t reveal anything about when the Evolve X will be up for sale in the country. “BlackBerry Evolve marks the first Blackberry smartphone conceptualised, designed and manufactured in India,” Optiemus Infracom said in a statement issued today.
The BlackBerry Evolve X is a way better smartphone than the Evolve as it sports Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 chipset underneath. Notably, the BlackBerry Evolve is amongst the costliest phones out there with Snapdragon 450 chipset.
