Good news for iphone3G owners in India Airtel will now officially allow you to unlock iPhone3G handsets and use with other networks after buying a handset from them with additional fee though this is not a statement from the official Airtel but Apple website says so where it shows that Airtel offers authorized unlocking which is quoted in Apple Global support page http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1937 .
Does it really mean what it shows what you think ?Either Airtel guys have been instructed to keep this option locked to themselves or there is a mistake on the Apple site we will dig out the details soon!
