AIRTEL TO UNLOCK iPHONE 3G IN INDIA!

By June 15th, 2009 AT 10:54 PM

airtel-iphone-3gGood news for iphone3G owners in India Airtel will now officially allow you to unlock iPhone3G handsets and use with other networks after buying a handset from them with additional fee though this is not a statement from the official Airtel but Apple website says so where it shows that Airtel offers authorized unlocking which is quoted in Apple Global support page http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1937 .

Does it really mean what it shows what you think ?Either Airtel guys have been instructed to keep this option locked to themselves or there is a mistake on the Apple site we will dig out the details soon!

Hi all, good response from Airtel nodal officer. called me up today to tell that my iphone is unlocked. But the BSNL sim is not working. Do I have to do anything else after they have unlocked?
