On the other hand, speaking of other DTH service providers like Airtel Digital TV and Tata Sky, the former has decreased the price of its STBs by Rs 200 on both HD and SD variant. Whereas Tata Sky has reduced the price of its STB by Rs 400 thus bringing down the price of the SD variant of STB down to Rs 1,399 and the HD variant price to Rs 1,499.

No DTH Operator is Providing Lifetime Warranty for Set-Top Boxes

What separates Dish TV from other DTH operators in this aspect is the warranty section. No other DTH operator in the industry is currently offering lifetime warranty for its Set-Top Boxes. Even the popular Tata Sky is providing just three years of warranty for its Set-Top Boxes and that was changed from the earlier two years of warranty. Tata Sky is offering service validity of three years with its STBs, but Dish TV says lifetime warranty, of which the full details are unknown at the moment.
