The OnePlus 6 and the OnePlus 6T have become top-selling smartphones in the country. When OnePlus launched these phones, they saw massive sales owing to the specifications which they ship in a very attractive price tag. Now, the Chinese brand has landed in India with its latest offering the OnePlus 7 Pro. Now since we have talked enough about the device itself, it is time for us to talk about what the OnePlus 7 Pro brings on the software front. We have already taken a quick look at what the latest OxygenOS will bring for the users, however, a major question among existing OnePlus users is when these features will be available for OnePlus 6 and the OnePlus 6T?

Smart SMS and Cricket Scores on OnePlus 6 and 6T

This time, OnePlus has put a special emphasis for the India users and has announced that it will integrate some features in the OxygenOS which will be exclusively for Indian users. These features would include Caller Identification, a smart SMS app, Work-Life balance, OnePlus Roaming, and alerts for cricket scores. We have also come to know that these features will start making their way to the OnePlus 6 and the OnePlus 6T through the OxygenOS Open Beta and the first feature to show up on these devices will be the “Cricket Score” which the phones will receive later this month. The rest of the features will start rolling out to thee devices in June.

The next important feature which the Indian OnePlus users will be seeing in the latest OxygenOS is the Caller ID. This feature will be integrated right into the Dialer app so that users will be able to Caller ID without the need of third-party applications like Truecaller. Apart from telling you the Caller ID, this feature will mark spam calls so you can avoid picking them up and block them.

New OxygenOS Open Beta to Come with OnePlus Roaming Feature

The Smart SMS app would be another useful functionality as it will categorise and organise up to 39 different categories of apps for easy and contextual actions. This Smart SMS app will categorise messages according to future train, bus, or flight bookings and will organise information to clearly indicate details like seat and coach numbers, time, etc. Further, you will even be able to track your courier packages using the smart SMS application. The feature will allow you to track your expenses by managing transaction alerts as well.

The Work-Life balance feature will be another significant addition in the upcoming OxygenOS Open Beta. It will allow you to set a schedule for notifications from work and personal life so that you are not disturbed while working or vice versa. Users will be able to tweak the settings for Work-Life balance, and they can decide which apps show the notifications. Additionally, the OnePlus roaming mode will get the users economic roaming plans when they travel abroad for seamless communication. Lastly, the cricket score feature will use the Shelf in OnePlus launcher to display dedicated cards for cricket scores.
