Airtel Digital TV Launches Horror TV Subscription Service for Thriller Fans in Partnership With Shemaroo

Every DTH provider and telecom operator in India is capitalising on the content explosion that is happening in India. The users are consuming more content now than they have ever done. Bharti Airtel is one such operator which has benefitted a lot from this as it is always bundling new content related services, offering subscription and more. In a new move, Bharti Airtel’s DTH arm, Airtel Digital TV has partnered up with Shemaroo Entertainment to launch ‘The Horror TV – Ab Lagega Darr’ – a subscription premium service offering a variety of horror movies, TV shows and web series. This new platform will offer a subscription service for a range of horror, thriller and crime-related content.




New Subscription Service Exclusively for Horror and Thriller Shows

It is worth noting that horror, thriller and crime is one big genre inside drama and fans of this genre hardly steer away to watch something else. On these lines, subscribers who want to experience adrenaline racing series apart from the usual drama on TV can do so using this new subscription service. Some of the shows, which will be available on this new service will include popular titles like The Zee Horror Show, Aahat, Fear Files, Gehraiyaan, Agent Raghav, Hoshiyar, Adrishya and Gangster amongst others, right on their TV.

Airtel's Content Portfolio Expanding at Rapid Pace

Airtel has lately been on the task of ramping up its content offerings. Not only on the video front, but the telco has also worked to bring audio and text content to its subscribers. Airtel Wynk Music remains as one of the best music streaming apps on the Play Store right now. Airtel Books is another platform for readers where they can get books. On top of this, Airtel TV and the new subscription service catering to thriller and horror fans will expand Airtel’s content portfolio. The telco has also recently introduced the Airtel Wynk Tube app to facilitate easy music video streaming.
