Wynk Music application, owned by Airtel has been one of the most popular OTT (Over the top) music applications around. Telecom operators in the country are growing their content strategy in leaps and bounds to drive more and more subscriber engagement. As per the latest news, the Wynk Music application has introduced new personalisation for its 100 million active user base called the ‘Your Year in Music 2018’. In the OTT app space, personalisation is considered a great tool for increasing consumer engagement. Airtel’s Wynk Music app seems to be following in those footsteps only. Since this is the year-end and people are going to be celebrating the new year, Airtel Wynk has introduced this personalised music journey innovation pragmatically at this time.

Wynk Music Introduces Personalised Music Journey

Airtel has informed that Wynk Music users will be able to discover the songs which they played the most, their top artists, the total amount of time they spent listening to music, big music days and much more during 2018. Also, the music journey 2018 will be customised according to each user’s in-app behaviour.

This is not the only step that Wynk has taken in the direction of personalisation of its app. Earlier this year, Wynk has revamped its application, and it introduced features like Personalised Radio, Artist and Playlist recommendations based on individual users’ music listening patterns. Owing to the app’s large popularity, the app was also awarded the title of ‘The Most Entertaining App of the Year’ by Google in December 2018.

Wynk Music Service Integrated With My Airtel Application

Speaking about this new personalised music journey, Sameer Batra, CEO Content & Apps of Bharti Airtel said “We collect over one billion data points every day, with a long-term aim to offer a highly personalised experience to our listeners. Through a combination of data science and smart analytics, this is our way of expressing gratitude to our customers as we wind down on what has been an amazing 2018. We will continue to strive and get even better for the love of music!”

Not only their own curated music, but users will also be able to view the top charts of 2018, best songs across 11 languages and the best songs of 2018 across preferred genres as well.

Lately, Airtel has been working towards improving its customer experience manifold. The telecom operator, this year, introduced an easy to use platform to pay combined and discounted bills for subscribers of DTH, wireless and broadband. Further, the operator also launched a new Airtel TV and Wynk Music integration in its My Airtel mobile app to allow the subscribers to access the content onboard these applications easily.
