Jio Happy New Year 2019 Offer Provides 100% Cashback on Rs 399 Prepaid Recharge

As 2018 is coming to an end, Reliance Jio wants to celebrate it with its prepaid subscribers. Same as last year, Reliance Jio has now rolled out a Jio Happy New Year Offer, under which it will be providing 100% cashback on the Rs 399 prepaid recharge. But this offer from Jio doesn't seem that attractive as the customer will get a voucher of AJIO, which is Reliance Retail's e-commerce shopping portal. To roll out this offer, Jio has teamed up with AJIO and every customer who performs a Rs 399 recharge during the offer period will get a 100% cashback offer. Jio also confirmed that users could make use of this coupon on top of existing offers which are already present on AJIO, which is the only reason to cheer about this offer.

Jio Happy New Year 2019 Offer: What You Need to Know?

This is not the first time Reliance Jio has rolled out the New Year Offer. Last year, it celebrated 2018 by offering the same 100% cashback on Rs 399 prepaid recharge, but back then, the telco provided cashback in the form of Rs 50 vouchers to My Jio application. However, this year, the telco is providing the 100% cashback coupon in the form AJIO voucher, which can be redeemed on ajio.com. For the unaware, AJIO is Reliance Retail Limited's (parent company of Reliance Jio) e-commerce portal launched to take on the shopping portals such as Myntra, Jabong and so on.

Moving onto the offer details, any Jio prepaid customer performing Rs 399 recharge between December 28, 2018, and January 31, 2019, will get a 100% cashback coupon (worth Rs 400). As noted, the coupon will be given in the form of AJIO voucher which has to be separately used on the e-commerce portal. Jio will SMS the voucher code and you can also find it inside your My Jio account.

Having said that, there are some terms and conditions which you need to know before heading over to ajio.com to redeem the cashback coupon. First of all, the coupon credited can be redeemed on AJIO mobile app and website on a minimum cart value of Rs 1,000, which is underwhelming. But do make a note that a user can apply the coupon even on top of any other existing offer on AJIO.

"AJIO coupon worth Rs 399 can be redeemed over and above the existing AJIO discounts thus making the offer a DOUBLE TREAT," said Reliance Jio in a statement. This offer is applicable to both new and existing prepaid customers of Reliance Jio. Lastly, the coupons received during the offer period can only be redeemed on or before March 15, 2019.

Jio Postpaid Users Misses Out on New Year 2019 Offer

As always, Reliance Jio again gave its first preference to prepaid subscribers. The telco has confirmed that the New Year 2019 offer is applicable only to its prepaid customers, leaving behind its postpaid users. For the unaware, earlier this year, Jio stepped into the postpaid segment by launching an affordable postpaid plan of Rs 199 with unlimited calling, SMSes and 25GB of 4G data per month.

Jio already surpassed 250 million subscriber mark, but the telco never revealed its postpaid user base, like other incumbent telcos.
