10.or E Starts Receiving Android Oreo Update With PiP Mode, Autofill Passwords and More

After rolling out the Android 8.1 Oreo update to the entry-level 10.or D smartphone, the company has now started rolling out Android 8.1 Oreo update to the 10.or E smartphone. For the unaware, 10.or E was the first smartphone launched by 10.or last year in India at a starting price of Rs 7,999. The phone initially arrived with Android Nougat, but now, users in India started noticing the 8.1 Oreo update on their 10.or E. The update weighs 1169.6MB in size and it brings along August 2018 security patches, all other Android Oreo features such as Picture-in-Picture (PiP) mode, Autofill Passwords and more. 10.or also stated that it's continuously looking to improve the user experience on its smartphones by rolling out new software updates.

10.or E Android 8.1 Oreo Update Features

As mentioned above, 10.or E users in the country already started receiving the Android 8.1 Oreo OTA update notification on their smartphone. The phone is available in two storage variants- 2GB RAM/16GB storage option and 3GB RAM/32GB storage option. Notably, both the variants are receiving the update starting today.

The Android 8.1 Oreo OTA update for 10.or E weighs 1169.6MB. After the update, users will be able to notice August 2018 security patches installed on the device along with various stability improvements. Android 8.1 Oreo update brings notification shade colour change depending on your wallpaper and adaptive app icons support. 10.or has skipped Android 8.0 Oreo update and directly updated the device to Android 8.1 Oreo, which is a good thing.

Do make a note that the update is rolling out in a phased manner, so it might take a while to reach your device.

10.or E Specifications and Features

10.or E was the first smartphone launched by 10.or in India. It sports a 5.5-inch Full HD display with 16:9 aspect ratio on the front. The smartphone is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 chipset, coupled with 2GB/3GB of RAM and 16GB/32GB of internal storage. The phone has a microSD card slot which allows users to expand the storage.

The 10.or E was launched with Android 7.1.2 Nougat back in September 2017. It was launched exclusively on Amazon India at a starting price of Rs 7,999. The phone has a 13MP rear camera and a 5MP front-facing camera. It's armed with a 4000mAh battery.

10.or E Pricing and Availability

After launching the 10.or E, the company has announced its partnership with e-commerce portal Amazon India. The 10.or E is currently available at a price of just Rs 5,699. The 2GB RAM variant of the 10.or E is available for Rs 5,699, while the 3GB RAM version is currently available for purchase at Rs 6,699. At that price, the 10.or E has superior hardware than any other smartphone available in the Indian market right now.

10.or D Also Received Android 8.1 Oreo Update

Last month, 10.or rolled out Android 8.1 Oreo update to the entry-level 10.or D smartphone. The 10.or D seems to be discontinued in the Indian market because the 10.or D2 was launched very recently. The 10.or D became the cheapest smartphone to run Android Oreo.
