10.or D2 With 4G VoLTE, ViLTE and 18:9 Display Goes Official in India, Prices Start at Rs 6,999

10.or (Also known as Tenor) has launched its first ‘Crafted for Amazon’ smartphone in 2018. Dubbed as the 10.or D2, it comes as a successor to the 10.or D, which was the cheapest smartphone in India with the Snapdragon 425 SoC. The major upgrade on the 10.or D2 when compared to 10.or D is the 18:9 display on the front, upgraded rear camera and Android 8.1 Oreo out of the box. Yes, 10.or also increased the price of the handset by Rs 2,000 for the base variant, which could be largely due to the camera hardware. The 10.or D2 starts at Rs 6,999 and goes up to Rs 7,999. It comes in two colour options and two variants. This smartphone from 10.or still goes against the likes of Xiaomi Redmi 5A and the premium variant even clashes with the Redmi 5 which has a much powerful Snapdragon 450 SoC.

10.or D2 Specifications and Features

As we predicted earlier, the internal hardware of the 10.or D2 remains the same. The phone still comes in two colour options- Beyond Black and Glow Gold; It still has the Qualcomm Snapdragon 425 SoC under the hood, clubbed with 2GB/3GB of RAM and 16GB/32GB of internal storage. The 10.or D offered a battery of 3500mAh, but the D2’s battery capacity has been reduced to 3200mAh, which is underwhelming. The 10.or D2 boots Android 8.1 Oreo out of the box, while the original D arrived with Android Nougat, only to pick up 8.1 Oreo update later.

The 10.or D2 flaunts a 5.45-inch HD+ display on the front with 18:9 aspect ratio and 400nits of brightness. There’s a dedicated microSD card slot for storage expansion up to 128GB. 10.or has upgraded the cameras on the D2. The rear camera on the 10.or D2 is a 13MP Sony IMX258 sensor with PDAF, 5P lens and single-tone LED flash. On the front, it’s still the 5MP shooter with single LED flash and f/2.0 aperture. The rear camera is capable of shooting 1080p videos at 30fps.

The company has also added the Awinic sound algorithm to the single mono speaker in order to enhance the listening experience. Also, the 10.or D2 is said to have IPX2 water protection, and it measures 8.6mm in thickness, weighs 144 grams, thanks to the plastic body.
