Availability of BSNL Freedom Plans
Although the plans have been launched keeping Independence Day in mind, they will be available for subscription starting August 10 and will be up for grabs till August 25. In between these days users can buy the Rs 9 or Rs 29 plan as per their wish. However, a thing to note here is that in case the validity of the subscribed plan extends beyond August 25, then the subscribers will be downgraded to the plan of 1GB daily data, post FUP speed of 80 Kbps, 100 SMS and general calling benefits. Notably, these benefits are part of the Rs 27 plan which is up for subscription all year round. The Freedom offer, unlike the standard offerings, is a promotional offer valid till August 25.
As of late, BSNL has been making rapid changes to its prepaid and postpaid plans both to provide more and more benefit to the users. With this new Freedom prepaid plan, BSNL has officially introduced the cheapest offering in the market. Before this, the most affordable offering was from Reliance Jio under which it is shipping 150MB of 4G data along with voice calls for a validity period of one day at Rs 19. On the other hand, Airtel and Vodafone offer Rs 47 plans which are the entry-level plans from their side.
